Our block party was a huge success. Lots of new and old neighbors attended and ate some good food and visited before returning to their homes to receive trick-or-treaters. Happily I even persuaded Vivian to put on her Halloween shirt and come to the party! She really enjoyed herself. She and I got there early before it was too crowded, but even once a lot of people had arrived, she asked me to go get her stroller and was content to sit in it and eat her dinner.

Dots dressed up as Sherlock Holmes and went trick-or-treating with a group of friends. Vivian came home and went to sleep while Robert and I answered the door. Hockey Boy put in a very brief appearance before going to his high school football game.
Sherlock Holmes is darling! I love that costume! And Vivian looks cute and celebratory. I think that your street is so dreamy! Like Europe! Let the Christmas shopping begin!
So cute! I love your neighborhood - it looks so beautiful with all the old oak trees.
btw - I don't know why they are moving - but they have moved a lot during their time there - they once lived on Lake Austin, then moved to lake travis, then moved to a high rise, then to this home on Balcones, now???? who knows? it's gorgeous though.
SOunds like a great time. I am glad Vivian enjoyed the block party and I love the Sherlock Holmes costumes. It is not what most young girls are choosing these days! I am so envious of the beautiful trees and porches on your block. It reminds me of our block two houses ago. It is beautiful. If I lived in your area, I have no doubt, we'd be neighbors.

I unintentionally contaminated all of the pictures on my blog when I changed my privacy settings on Flickr. I am working backwards to correct them all, but it is quite a tedious procedure! If you encounter a post with error messages from Flickr where the pictures should be, then I haven't gotten to that post yet. Please let me know and I will update it immediately. Thanks for your patience!

Your girls look so cute and festive! I am glad you all had such a wonderful time at the block party and that Vivian stayed the entire time!
What a lovely evening!
And those dogs look like Cavalier King Charles Spaniels....my favorite dog. Are they the cutest or what?
