This is the mantle in my living room. I needlepointed the stockings for Robert and the children. Notice that mine is missing. That would be because it sits, grossly unfinished and untouched, in a bag in my closet. It is a beautiful canvas, and I need to either finish it myself or admit that I'm never going to and pay someone to do it for me. {sigh}
The little stockings on the right belong to our cats, Percy and Ginny. Dots picked those out, and then she and Daddyman beaded the cats' initials on them.
Also in my living room is my collection of crystal ornaments from Tiffany. Each year I buy one for myself and one for my little namesake, Eloise, who lives in Birmingham. The year that we celebrated my 40th birthday in New York, I gave the candy cane ornament to each of the couples who joined us there as a remembrance of the weekend.
I have some Tiffany porcelain ornaments displayed on our coffee table.
I love Christmas too! Your mantle looks so pretty. The greens are simple and perfect. And I am impressed that you have any needlepointed stockings...my needlepoint hasn't seen the light of day in 6 months and clearly would not be up to the challenge of making a stocking for each member of the family! Your home looks wonderful! Needlepointing can be so time consuming so I do not blame you for not finishing your stocking. I think someone through Needle in a Haystack does them. When I was there about a month ago a woman was picking up three that were done and paying for them. So asked to write a thank you note for all the lady's hard work so I assume you might be able to take it there!
Your mantle is absolutely beautiful. I lOVE those Tiffany ornaments displayed on your small tree...just beautiful. I browsed through your blog and enjoyed it tremendously. Your home is FABULOUS! I'm going to add you to my favorites so I don't miss anything!

I unintentionally contaminated all of the pictures on my blog when I changed my privacy settings on Flickr. I am working backwards to correct them all, but it is quite a tedious procedure! If you encounter a post with error messages from Flickr where the pictures should be, then I haven't gotten to that post yet. Please let me know and I will update it immediately. Thanks for your patience!
