Bespectacled Dots.

DSC_0842

Dots failed the eye examination at her annual physical in May, so I took her to an eye doctor last week. Lo and behold, she needed glasses! We found a pair that she liked (Juicy Couture, no less), placed an order and picked them up yesterday. I think Dots looks so cute in them. Certainly a far cry from my first pair of glasses!

KEP glasses
Me in my sixth grade class picture. In addition to my groovy octogon-shaped glasses, I was wearing a shirt that my mother embellished with eyelet and rickrack. The back of the shirt featured my name spelled in red gingham with a frog or some such animal appliqued below it. Ah, the 70's...

At least you look cute in 6th grade! I'd take octagon shaped glasses any day over what I had - TINTED glasses. Ick.

boy - y'all look just alike, amazing! adorable!!!

i started with glasses in the second grade when my best friend got them and I faked my exam (I think) - legally blind now and having all sorts of eye issues. anyway - my daughter kept saying she couldn't see and that the teacher wanted her to get her eyes checked. this was in the 7th grade - well, she had always passed every school exam and i just refused to believe it. when i finally was guilted into making an appt. - the dr. informed me - she REALLY REALLY needed them badly. Lizzy has never let me forget this. just thought I would share that fabulous story.

your husband's trip makes me exhausted just to hear about it.
love your gingham shirt too!!!!
