Quick update: The ENT was very pleased with how Hockey Boy's abscess was responding to the antibiotics, so he does not have to have a tonsillectomy. Yet. We are scheduling the procedure for over the Christmas holidays. What a joyful time that will be - ha!
Thank you for all of your kind words of support and well wishes for him (and me!).

Maybe by the time Christmas comes HB won't have to have the tonsils out at all! Here's hoping.

eloise - the plan is for matt to get his tonsils removed over christmas break, too!
Glad he is doing better. My middle son had his tonsils out right after he turned 4. The recovery was more than I thought it would be, but it really improved the issues he had.
