***MRI postponed to 1:00***
When Robert and I arrived at the hospital this morning, Vivian's wonderful nurse Pam reported that Vivian had had a much better night. Vivian still had episodes of agitation, but they were milder and Vivian calmed down much more quickly than in the past few days. Robert and I noticed immediately that Vivian seemed more alert and a bit more tranquil. We are hopeful that this is a result of the increase in one of her seizures medications (Keppra). Pam reported that the bloodwork the neurologist ordered this morning to check on the levels of Vivian's regular medications indicated that one of them (Depakote) was also low. The neurologist will have to review the numbers, but perhaps an adjustment in that medication will yield further improvement.
Vivian's MRI is scheduled for noon today. Please pray that it shows Vivian's brain is completely undamaged.
I will try to update again later this afternoon.

Oh, that sounds so promising! Perhaps an adjustment in medications is all that is required! Prayers for an easy MRI and resolutions to restoring Vivian to her sweet self.
Oh, what wonderful news. Bless her heart - struggling the past few days due to medication problems. I hope this is just the beginning of having the sweet Vivian back in your life very soon. Prayers for a negative MRI and for Vivian to get out of PICU ASAP! ~Debbie K.
So glad to hear the good news! My mom was on Kepra her fist several days in the hospital. It helped keep the siezures at bay. Prayers, prayers and more prayers coming your way!
Storming heaven's gates for Vivian!
This is all so encouraging.
Praying and waiting for the update ...
I continue to pray for you.
