Dots on her first day of 7th grade

Vivian missed the first two days of school because she and I were in Wyoming. I took Vivian straight from the airport to her school on Wednesday. She walked happily into her classroom and got right to work on reading with Mrs. Cunningham! Vivian's teachers and others at her school faithfully followed her time in the hospital this summer by visiting, emailing, sending cards, etc. They were thrilled to see Vivian back at school and doing so well!

Vivian practices reading her sight words

I texted Will and asked him to have one of his nice roommates take his picture on his first day of college. Would you believe I didn't hear back from him? This picture of him and Dots after she and Robert visited on Sunday to deliver Will's bedding will have to suffice...

May you all have a nice, quiet and peaceful autumn.

7th graders are my favorite! Hope Dots has a great year. I met lots of my students Tues night and it seems like I have a nice group this year. School starts for the kids next Wed.
Hope all three have a great year!
How wonderful to get back to normal!
You had quite a summer! I hope it's a wonderfully quiet fall for you. So funny that Hockey boy didn't respond....college!

Dots looks beautiful! She's getting so big. So glad to see Vivian at school. Here's hoping for a great (and peaceful) fall!
I can't tell you how many of my text messages went unanswered by my boys!
But don't worry...girls are a little better with communication, especially if they need something!
Have a peaceful and healthy season!
M.E.
